FMCSA removes five ELDs from Registered List
The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) removed five electronic logging devices (ELDs) from its list of Registered Devices due to their failure to meet the requirements of Title 49 CFR Appendix A to Subpart B of Part 395. The revoked devices include:
- ELD Provider: ART KILIM INC
- ELD Name: PREMIUM ELD
- Model Number: PMM
- ELD Identifier: PMM492
- ELD Provider: Clean Aura Corp
- ELD Name: TRUE LOGBOOK
- Model Number: 2TRUL
- ELD Identifier: TRL584
- ELD Provider: Xplore Tech Inc
- ELD Name: Xplore ELD
- Model Number: XPLELD
- ELD Identifier: XPLORE
- ELD Provider: KAMI ELD
- ELD Name: KAMI ELD
- Model Number: KAME-X456
- ELD Identifier: KAM683
- ELD Provider: Evo ELD Inc.
- ELD Name: EVO ELD 1
- Model Number: EVO 1
- ELD Identifier: G711H2
This removal is effective as of Oct. 17, 2025, and fleets using any of these ELDs have 60 days from that date to replace their devices with compliant ones from the Registered Devices list. In the meantime, stop using any of the revoked ELDs and switch to using paper logs or other logging software to record your driver’s hours of service data. Then, fleets have until Dec. 16, 2025, to find new ELDs.
Prior to Dec. 16, inspectors shouldn’t cite fleets for “no record of duty stats” or “Failing to use a registered ELD.” Instead, they’ll ask drivers for their paper logs, logging software, or other ELD display for inspections.
However, after Dec. 16, any drivers caught using one of these revoked ELDs will be cited as working without an ELD (395.8(a)(1) and placed out-of-service.
If these ELD providers fix the issues found in their devices, FMCSA will reinstate them to the Registered Devices list.
