Trimble recently launched its new AI agent: Arc. Jade Brasher highlights the innovation in a recent article for FleetOwner.

Designed with office tasks in mind, Arc was created to design workflows using available tools to autonomously perform tasks, according to Megan Liss, Trimble’s director of AI go-to-market strategy.

Employees can train Arc on skills and tasks that are personal to their work and preferences. These skills can be created by customers or selected from options provided by Trimble. 

“We have AI skills creators that are actually employees within our applied AI team that partner with our customers to help them in their AI adoption,” Liss said. “It's like an AI consultancy that we offer for our customers.” 

The AI skills creators will meet with customers to discuss organizational needs. Then they will determine with the customer the tools and programs that should be connected to Arc. These programs can include email inboxes, Salesforce accounts, and other programs or apps with existing model context protocols (MCPs). Trimble’s skill creators will then create or help the customer create their own MCPs with Arc connection. And finally, the AI skills team will create Arc skills to complete the discussed tasks for the customer. 

According to Liss, Trimble conducts a review after four weeks to check in on how Arc is doing for the customer and what needs to be worked on next.
