Doleco USA releases full-color digital printing for securement straps

The new printer can put multi-color company logos, promotional materials such as trivia and QR codes, and more on cargo straps.

Doleco has installed a full-color digital printer for cargo securement straps at its Charlotte manufacturing facility. Using the printer, the company can print photographs, multicolor logos, and other graphics on cargo securement straps instead of the traditional yellow webbing and black stenciling.

“Customers and distributors have basically lived with the same yellow webbing for decades, with only the name of the webbing manufacture stenciled on them,” said Ralph Abato, president and managing director of Doleco USA. “Now we have the ability to print virtually anything on these ubiquitous cargo straps, putting brand messaging in front of millions on our nation’s roads and highways.”

The printer works like an advanced digital printing press, according to the company. It can create samples in one day and ensures immediate ink setting to prevent smudging, and can print full-color images and graphics on 1-, 2-, 3-, and 4-in. webbing. The printer can create a range of imagery for cargo straps, including full-color company logos, contact information, photographic ribbons and imagery, and trivia questions, QR codes, and more.

“This capability opens exciting new possibilities for our dealers to market our brand and their dealerships to other trailer operators on the road,” said Tim Ewing, director of platform products for MAC Trailer.

Doleco also stores all designs for later reordering and modifications, and provides free one-piece samples. There is a per-strap set-up fee and a minimum order of 50 straps, but the Charlotte facility can produce orders from five to thousands of straps within days, the company stated.
