Merchants Fleet, Pep Boys expand strategic maintenance partnership

The fleet management provider will work more closely with Pep Boys, building on a 30-year partnership.

Merchants Fleet has expanded its 30-year relationship with its strategic maintenance partner, Pep Boys, which has 800 locations across the U.S. The updated agreement designed to streamline maintenance operations, improve service consistency, and deliver greater value to Merchants Fleet clients, the company said.

As part of the expanded relationship, Merchants Fleet will direct a higher maintenance volume to Pep Boys shops have closer ties related to operational coordination and service delivery. The ultimate goal, according to Merchant Fleet, is to improve customer turnaround times, maintenance outcomes, and the overall service experience. The realignment is meant to increase coordinated planning, performance management, and long-term strategy development.
