Cummins releases 2026 Meritor brake training schedule
Cummins has released its 2026 lineup of free, in-person aftermarket parts training sessions, which will run from March through October, 2026.
“Our goal is to give technicians the confidence to maximize vehicle uptime, reduce violations, and ensure safe, efficient operations,” said Joe Baumer, aftermarket training manager – Cummins Drivetrain and Braking Systems. “These sessions dive into critical topics such as brake adjustment, brake balance, automatic slack adjusters, reduced stopping distance, preventive maintenance, inspection best practices, and advanced diagnostics.”
The trainings will focus on repairing heavy-duty brake systems, including cam and air disc brakes. They’ll cover S-cam drum brakes, brake balance, automatic slack adjusters, accurate brake adjustment, reduced stopping distance, preventive maintenance and inspections, and diagnostic procedures.
Twenty-three dates at 29 locations are available across the U.S. and Canada for in-person sessions. The soonest session will take place on March 3 in Lubbock, Texas, while the last two sessions will take place Oct. 13-14 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Seats are limited for these courses, so Cummins encourages attendees to register early.
Cummins is also offering The BullPen, a free, online training resource that provides access to on-demand courses on Meritor products, clutches, drivelines, drive and steer axles, suspension, wheel ends, and brakes.
