Association of Diesel Specialists covering technician retention

The diesel industry convention will include a panel addressing technician retention and recruitment.

George Arrants, VP of the ASE Education Foundation, will be speaking at the 2024 Association of Diesel Specialists International Convention in Grapevine, Texas, which runs from Jan. 21-22, 2024. At the convention, Arrants will address technician retention and recruitment strategies for the diesel industry.

“We look forward to having George present at the 2024 ADS International Convention,” said ADS CEO Scott D. Parker. “Losing talent is difficult, particularly in today’s employment environment. Every ADS member will benefit from this session with real takeaway retention ideas."

Arrants’ panel is entitled “What Makes Technicians Leave? And How to Stop Them.” More specifically, the talk will cover retention and recruitment challenges, technician motivation for leaving a job beyond pay, and offer strategies to strengthen shop-technician relationships and how to better work with technical schools to establish an employee pipeline.
