VSP News: Kolman's Korner, Episode 102 - Volvo Trucks North America

March 24, 2016
Goran Nyberg, president, sales and marketing, Volvo Trucks North America, discusses the company’s future plans.

Volvo Trucks North America – a manufacturer of a broad line of on-highway and vocational Class 8 vehicles – posted record sales in the U.S., Canada and NAFTA last year.

I sat down with Goran Nyberg – the company’s president of sales and marketing – to talk about that.

Not only has Volvo Trucks been heavily investing in its operations, so, too, have its dealers.

Nyberg noted the growing importance of connectivity and uptime within the trucking industry.

While it will continue to focus on its core markets – long-haul and regional, Volvo Trucks is looking at growth areas, and is targeting industrial market segments, including petrochemical, flatbed, intermodal and heavy haul.
