Decisiv expands service management software platform to heavy equipment markets

Decisiv has engaged two industry veterans to head up this initiative: Mark Wasilko and Michael Jakab.

Decisiv, Inc., a provider of Service Relationship Management (SRM) software platforms for commercial, heavy equipment and industrial asset service management, announced it is expanding the application of its Platform as a Service (PaaS) solution to a range of heavy equipment and industrial markets.

Decisiv has engaged two industry veterans to head up this initiative, both with vast experience in commercial asset management and emerging technology: Mark Wasilko, VP Heavy Equipment and Industrial Markets and Michael Jakab, Senior Director, Heavy Equipment and Industrial Markets.

“Our unique service management software platform is delivering real and sustainable value to our customers by improving asset utilization and reducing life cycle service costs,” said Dick Hyatt, President and CEO of Decisiv. “We are now committing to provide that same service event management capability to heavy equipment and industrial markets, including the construction, agriculture, marine, and power generation industries.”

Joining the Decisiv team as VP Heavy Equipment and Industrial Markets is Mark Wasilko, who has more than 35 years of management experience successfully developing, organizing, and launching technology-focused products and companies spanning the software, international power, and alternative energy industries.

Throughout his career, Wasilko has concentrated on strategy development and implementation, and on business development with a primary focus on the introduction and commercialization of emerging technologies.

Michael Jakab, Senior Director, Heavy Equipment and Industrial Markets, brings more than 25 years of software, cloud computing, hardware, and wireless technology experience to Decisiv.

In his career, Jakab has helped hundreds of commercial fleets and equipment rental companies increase the productivity of their remote assets and generate increased revenue throughout equipment lifecycles. His collaboration with Tier One equipment and automotive OEMs has connected more than half a million assets to back-end management systems to drive a measurable return on investment.

Decisiv’s cloud-based platform is well suited to meet the user application and integration requirements of heavy equipment and industrial markets.

“By enabling highly configurable user experiences across a broad range of commercial and industrial assets, Decisiv Service Relationship Management technology can quickly enable our customers to leverage their existing investments in connected assets (IIoT), CRM, and other legacy applications by adding a new layer of communication and collaboration," said Decisiv’s VP Product and Channel Marketing, Michael Riemer.

“In today’s heavy equipment and industrial markets, breakdown support and rapid return to service is complicated by too many phone calls, incomplete access to information and other labor and time intensive manual processes,” said Wasilko. “Decisiv’s SRM technology brings an unrivaled level of repair management efficiency and productivity to every participant in the service process. This new level of seamless data exchange is critical for improving return to service and for making maintenance and repair operations a competitive advantage.”
