There are a number of challenges when it comes to buying used equipment. One, in particular, is buying a used vehicle sight unseen. TA Truck Service recently came out with a ‘fix’ for this challenge, says Jerry Bodkins. He is the manager for TA Truck Service’s OnSite mobile inspection and repair program.

A division of TravelCenters of America, TA Truck Service is a network of truck service facilities. It operates a fleet of RoadSquad Connect emergency roadside assistance vehicles, and a fleet of RoadSquad OnSite mobile maintenance vehicles.

These vehicles, says Bodkins, are now also doing on-site vehicle inspections and repair. An advantage of the Onsite fleet is the ability to do any needed repairs found during an inspection. These same services are also available for trailers.
